KA HUNA BODYORK
PHILOSOPHY
What is Ka Huna bodywork?
Ka Huna bodywork, also known as Hawaiian Temple massage, is originated in the South Pacific and was used during Rites of Passage as a transformational massage and healing system. Ka Huna bodywork is holistic practice that aims to balance the body, mind, and spirit. This form of bodywork is deeply therapeutic and can help release physical tension, emotional stress, and promote spiritual well-being.
How is it done?
Practitioners use hands, forearms and elbows with long and repetitive strokes. They move around the table like the dance movement and work with energy to apply soft and deep tissue massage. Music is played and I attune the flow of the massage to harmonise the various rhythms within the client's body, mind and soul.
Who can receive Ka Huna bodywork?
Everybody, regardless of body shape, age or state of health can receive Ka Huna bodywork. Whether you are feeling flat with or without any reasons, out of kilter, or pain, Ka Huna bodywork offers excellent treatment. People suffering stress, depression, exhaustion, physical discomfort, confusion, grief or loss may also benefit from Ka Huna bodywork.
"Feel the flow of energy within you,
and connect with the essence of life."

ABOUT ME...

Aloha!
I'm Shinichi, originally from Japan and now based in Australia since 2014.
My life took a transformative turn when I experienced Ka Huna bodywork, which offered not just physical relaxation but a deeper connection to my heart and spirit. I definitely felt energised, uplifted and the world looked much brighter.
I trained in Ka Huna bodywork at Mette's Institute at High Spirits Retreat in 2024. This is the beginning of a beautiful journey, and I look forward to sharing it with you!!
With my background in Occupational Therapy, I have not only a deep understanding of anatomy and body mechanisms but also a strong sense of respect and inclusiveness. I am committed to caring for, nurturing, and supporting diverse individuals and ensuring a safe environment.
I also believe in the power of incorporating Hawaiian philosophy and Zen principles into my practice to ensure a holistic approach. Zen Buddhism and Hawaiian philosophy share core similarities such as centred around interconnectedness, mindfulness, and living in harmony with nature.
Both philosophies emphasize a holistic perspective, encouraging practitioners to find unity within themselves and with the world around them.
I am excited to grow through this journey and support others in their healing processes.
